I’m here looking for answers as to why my Samsung Galaxy appears to be melting. I noticed the phone heating up before, but just thought it was the screen. So, I would shut it down, wait a bit, then it was fine. Though, this morning I woke up to a burning smell. I looked around the room, the upstairs, started downstairs, but the smell was coming from my room. It was the phone giving off the burning smell. I unplugged it and carried on with my day. Later when I got home, guess my battery was dying, and my wife just plugged in the phone to charge it. As I was sitting on the couch with my kids, I smelled something burning again, but I knew that smell. I searched out for the phone and unplugged it right away. After it cooled down, I noticed that the phone was starting to melt. I pulled the battery and now have no phone to use for myself. You would think that if you pay $500 for a phone, it should last longer than just over a year. Not to mention that it appears to be quite dangerous. Not sure what to do. The place where I got it from said they can’t do nothing because it’s past one year warranty. So what now? Will Samsung replace it? Or is going to the Consumer Protection Board an alternative? Looking for answers.
