大学４年になり、自分の将来の進路というものもかなり考えるようになりました。

その他、松下、ソニー、シャープ、などの電機メーカーなどでしょうか。

今日はそんなトヨタ自動車の話題です。
自動車業界は明暗がはっきりと分かれ、アメリカGMなどはS＆Pに格下げされる始末。
トヨタ自動車は過去最高益を記録し、好調さをアピールしています。
環境優先の取り組みが功を奏したといえるでしょう。
日米貿易摩擦回避のための技術提供が期待されているが･･･

Japan and America's top automakers are staying mum amid intense speculation the two companies will soon announce a partnership to build vehicles partially powered by fuel cells.
日本とアメリカのトップ自動車メーカーは、２社がじきに部分的に燃料電池で動く車の共同開発を発表するという憶測が高まる中で、沈黙を保っている。

Toyota and General Motors reportedly have been collaborating on alternative fuels research for more than five years.
トヨタとGMは、伝えるところによると５年以上代替燃料の共同研究を行ってた。

But Toyota President Hiroshi Okuda says there is nothing specific to announce yet.
しかし、トヨタの奥田碩会長は、まだ確かな発表は何もないといっている。

Mr. Okuda says while Toyota may offer technology to GM, it is not thinking of working together with the American rival on building hybrid cars.
奥田会長はトヨタはGMに技術提供するかもしれないが、ハイブリッド車を作るのにアメリカのライバル社と一緒に研究する考えはないと言う。

The Toyota president also announced a record fourth quarter profit of $2.8 billion with sales growth of more than four percent.
トヨタの会長は４％以上の増収で第４四半期の利益は２８億ドルを記録したとも伝えられた。

For the full fiscal year, net income grew less than one-percent to total $11 billion.
会計年度全体で、純利益は１１０億ドルに１％満たないくらいまで成長した。
